The Umbrella hitmaker, 20, insists she will keep on working hard to become even more successful. “It’s hard to take in how much success I’ve had, especially with Umbrella,” the singer says. “But I’m not satisfied and there’s no comfort in my success. I’m always on to the next big thing.” And Rihanna – who is currently dating fellow singer Chris Brown – says she always has her “guard up” when it comes to men. (Read more)

Rihanna is stepping forward to help a 5-year-old New York City girl find a bone marrow donor – the second time in a year that the Grammy Award winner has helped a leukemia victim seek a match.

“When I saw the video of Jasmina it broke my heart. It is so unfair that for a black patient it’s so much harder to find a bone marrow match,” the singer tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Jasmina has acute leukemia and she needs a bone marrow transplant to live.

Last February, Rihanna helped New Yorker Lisa Flynn find a match by putting out a call for donors on PEOPLE.com. “More than 5,000 donors came forward,” says Katharina Harf of DKMS, the world’s largest nonprofit marrow donor center, which is helping to find a match for Jasmina. “Rihanna has already helped DKMS save many lives,” says Harf. “Now we can count on her again.” (Read more)

It seems like the chaos over “Bad Girl” featuring Chris Brown (the song that leaked a month ago) won’t stop. First we tough that it was going to be part of of the soundtrack for “Confessions of a Shopaholic” then it turns out it was just a “demo” and that the track was then given to The Pussycat Dolls and now the song (Rihanna’s version) has debuted on Billboard’s R&B Top 100 charts, coming in at #92! I already heard the song twice on the radio, and between commercials they promote it as “new music”. Only time will tell the future of this song, plus Rihanna’s version is way better anyway, even if it is only a demo!

African singer sues Michael Jackson and Rihanna

Cameroonian singer Manu Dibango is suing Michael Jackson and 20-year-old singer Rihanna at a Paris court on Tuesday, claiming they stole a hook from one of his songs. Jackson had already accepted that parts “Mama-se, mama-sa, mama-coo-sa” of Dibango’s 1972 “Soul Makossa” were used on the track for his hit “Wanna be Startin’ Something” from the 1983 album “Thriller,” and they had reached a financial settlement. But in 2007, Rihanna — apparently in good faith — obtained Jackson’s permission to use the same section of melody on her hit single “Please don’t stop the music,” without also contacting Dibango. Separately, Dibango’s lawyers have asked the French courts to block record labels Sony BMG, EMI and Warner from receiving income from the records until the matter is settled. Source: AFP

Rihanna’s Indonesian fans will soon have a remedy for their disappointment over the diva’s canceled concert two months ago, as the US pop singer jets in on Feb. 12 to entertain them. Event promoter Troy Reza Warokka said Tuesday that Rihanna had confirmed the final date of the show and was committed to rocking 5000 of her fans at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta.

“The concert is the most-awaited show in the country, so we hope we don’t disappoint anyone this time around,” said Troy, the representative for the concert from Showmaster Live.

In November last year, the 21-year-old Grammy-award winning singer canceled her concert over security fears after the Australian government issued a travel warning for Indonesia following the executions of the three Bali bombers. (Read more)

Are labels and managers doing a good job of building communities around their artists on Facebook? Well, none make the ten most popular fan pages on the social network. In order, they are: Barack Obama, Coca-Cola, Homer J Simpson, Nutella, Pizza, Mr Bean, Michael Phelps, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger, and Kinder Surprise. This is according to a chart compiled by AllFacebook. I’ve dug out the 20 most popular music artist fan pages from the chart though, and they are (with number of fans):

    1. Rihanna (1.52 million)
    2. Coldplay (1.49 million)
    3. Lil Wayne (1.34 million)
    4. Linkin Park (1.33 million)

Chris Brown And Rihanna’s First Real Duet Leaks

For all the hubbub surrounding Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship, there’s been little music born from their pairing. Until now, that is.

The duo officially collaborated together on the recently leaked track “Bad Girl.” (Brown previously appeared on a remix of Rihanna’s song “Umbrella.”) The song was made for the soundtrack to the upcoming film “Confessions of a Shopaholic.” And who do we have to thank for putting together the high-profile duet? Producer Polow da Don, who has worked with Fergie (“London Bridge”), Ciara (“Promise”), and Usher (“Love in This Club”).

I came from a Jerry Bruckheimer meeting after seeing the movie, and they were telling us all the music they needed for all the scenes and the characters,” Polow told MTV News of his sit-down with the producer of “Shopaholic.” “So that night I went to the studio and I was telling Chris about (the meeting). And he was like, ‘Let’s get on it.’ It was crazy, because Jerry Bruckheimer’s dream was to have a song from Rihanna (for the movie), and I delivered Rihanna and Chris Brown in 24 hours. So they were like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy.’ ”

In the song, Rihanna talks about her shopping addiction, her penchant for bags and shoes and her not-so-thrifty purchasing habits. “Need no bargain, need no sale/ I want the best, I dress me well,” she sings. Brown chimes in with a rap about his better half toward the end of the track. “She’s a walking sto’, I’m talking about her clothes/ I just pause, I’m in awe, cause she’s a fashion show.”

“It’s crazy, because Chris Brown’s energy alone is incredible — he’s a high-energy kid,” Polow said. “Rihanna has a unique voice, and she’s one of the easiest people to work with. When her, Chris and myself were in the room, it’s fun. That’s when the music isn’t work at all. It’s all freestyle. Chris comes up with an idea; I come up with one. Rihanna will weigh in. And we build. We actually did a lot more records that hopefully will be coming soon.”

Rihanna has to cover up for Malaysia Show

Rihanna is going to have make a big outfit adjustment in her upcoming concert when she performs in Malaysia next month. As you know the singer is known for performing with very sexy S&M outfits during her tour. Rihanna is just one of the stars that has been affected by the Malaysia’s strict rules on performers attire, especially on woman. In the past both Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne faced protests by conservative Muslim Malaysians over immodest clothes. Under government guidelines, a female performer must be covered from the top of her chest, including her shoulders, to her knees. Despite the controversy over the strict rules, tickets for the concert at Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil, in Kuala Lumpur have been selling fast. Source: The Associated Press
