Oprah Winfrey has a message for pop princess Rihanna, who prosecutors say was beaten to a pulp last month by boyfriend Chris Brown: “He will hit you again.” Rihanna’s reported reconciliation with Brown after her Feb. 8 pummeling sparked an outpouring of debate, controversy and motherly advice.

“Love doesn’t hurt,” Winfrey said as she announced that she will dedicate a program this week to discussing domestic violence. “I want to do a show about it, dedicated to all the Rihannas of the world.” On Friday Oprah said, “If a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again.” (Read more)

Dawn Richard has been living her life in the public eye since “Making the Band” as part of Danity Kane. After the group’s very public split over the last few months, Richard knows what it’s like to be in the media spotlight. While she said she hasn’t spoken to either Chris Brown or Rihanna since their alleged altercation before the Grammy Awards — “I’ve seen then a couple times before all this stuff, but I don’t know them like that,” she said — she is “praying for both of them. 50 Cent not laughing at Rihanna’s expense

The alleged assault Rihanna suffered at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown is no laughing matter, according to 50 Cent. While the sentiment seems obvious, it marks a change of heart for the rapper, who mocked the incident in a video posted to his Web site earlier this month.

“I thought that was something that you could use for humor, like any other comedian or someone else would utilize current events,” he told MTV News. “After I saw the photographs of Rihanna, that wasn’t funny anymore.”

Apparently, 50 Cent originally envisioned the event as a mutual domestic disturbance, leading him to portray Brown and Rihanna as “Street Fighter”-like video game characters in his “Officer Ricky” animated Web series. (Read more)

Ne-Yo Spoke With Rihanna About Altercation and Wants To Talk To Chris

When Ne-Yo found out about the allegations of violence between Chris Brown and Rihanna, he knew he couldn’t get the story from a third party. Concerned for both his friends, the singer wanted to speak to them personally. On Monday afternoon (February 23), a still-stunned Ne-Yo offered his thoughts.

“I wanted to talk to them before I made a comment,” he said about the much-publicized incident that occurred several hours before the Grammy Awards on February 8. Brown turned himself in to police during the awards show and was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and released. “I spoke to Rihanna. She says she’s fine. She didn’t go into detail about what happened. I understand it’s a painful situation; I didn’t push.”

Like so many of Rihanna’s fans, friends and family members, Ne-Yo said he was grief-stricken after viewing the recently leaked photo of a bruised and apparently battered Rihanna shortly after her altercation with Brown. “I saw the picture,” he said solemnly. “That just really — that hurt me to my heart, man. Again, I still don’t know what happened, ’cause I haven’t had the opportunity to talk to Chris yet. (Read more)

After seeing the startling photo of a badly bruised Rihanna, Paul Wall is sharing his thoughts on the Barbados beauty’s fight with Chris Brown that has everyone talking. “I saw the picture and read all the blog comments. I’m like, ‘Damn, that’s just bad.’ I hope she’s alright,” the “Grillz” rapper tells Rap-Up.com. “I hate to get into other people’s business; whatever happened between them, that’s between them, but I just hope they both can come to a positive conclusion and that something positive can come out of it.” The married father of one expressed his concern for the “Disturbia” singer and couples who struggle with domestic violence. “It’s just sad to see any kind of violence in a relationship. Being such young superstars, they have the world ahead of them both. I just hope that she’s alright. I didn’t see no marks on [Chris], so I’m pretty sure he’s alright.” (Read more)

The very outspoken Roseanne has taken to her blog to vent on the situation regarding singer Chris Brown (and Rihanna). In other words she went crazy, and put Chris on Blast, here is what she had to say:

chris brown’s lies and excusesmake me want to beat the crap out of him…he uses the language of the perpetrator just like every sleazy bastard who ever smacked his wife, kid mother or girlfriend around uses. you dirty bastard, I hope you go to prison for ten years. IT’S YOUR FAULT, ASSHOLE! as for all the mealy mouthed hollywood and music scene chicks that can’t bring themselves to condemn a misogynistic bully, let me say this: your time as whores for propaganda is ending, bitches.

Everyone is talking about what went down between Chris Brown and Rihanna. The couple’s alleged fight was one of the most talked about topics at the NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix this weekend. Oprah Winfrey’s BFF Gayle King tells “Extra” she rejects Brown’s apology. “Right now I can’t think of anything that makes me support anything that Chris Brown is saying at this time. And my heart just aches for Rihanna.”

Actress Gabrielle Union says she’s trying to stay unbiased. “I know them both. Unfortunately, no one knows all the facts yet… what I think is great about this unfortunate situation is it can get us talking about violence… violence is never the answer. It’s good to get that dialogue started. I wish this wasn’t the catalyst for that… it’s never good to use violence as a means to an end.” (Read more)

Jay-Z is coming to the defense of his friend and colleague, Rihanna, in the wake of her alleged violent attack at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown. While speaking with reporters during NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix, Ariz., the hip-hop mogul, who first signed Rihanna to his label during his tenure as President of Island Def Jam back in 2004, pleaded with the media to handle the situation – and those involved – with sensitivity. “It’s not a sound bite. This is a real situation,” Jay-Z told reporters. (Read more)

Eamonn Homes Thinks Rihanna Should Wise Up

Former GMTV host Eamonn Homes mentoned in an interview with Star magazine that if pop sensation Rihanna were your daughter you would give her a “slap”. He then went on to say:

“I find the entourages that some people come with, especially the Americans, really pathetic. Rihanna, for example, is a beautiful girl, but if she was your daughter, you’d give her a slap and tell her to wise up. She is surrounded by people who treat her like a little flower.”

Paula Abdul Says She Inspired Rihanna and Beyonce

The nice judge of American Idol, Paula Abdul is taking credit for inspiring some of the hottest artist from today’s music. Apparently she thinks that her 1990 music video for Opposites Attract with the animated cat sky rocketed big talents like Rihanna and Beyonce.

“My videos stand the test of time. They are like the almanac for every performer. Even Rihanna has come up to me and said ‘I hope you don’t mind.’ And Beyonce. You can see the influence of what I’ve done. It’s really fun to see that I’ve left a mark. It was my idea to create an animated character. It takes a lot of focus, a lot time, and a lot of money.”

Is she seriouse? As if Rihanna was really thinking of Paula Abdul and her animated cat when she diped herself in silver paint for her “Umbrella” music video.
